Good weekend to everybody! As we talked in class the other day here it is the job offer I promised. The conditions for this exercise are as follows: you have to read the offers (there are two very similar) and choose one; you must assume you fulfill all the requirements about experience and all that, next you must "decipher" the offer using whatever means you have (dictionaries, the internet, an old aunt living in Idaho...). Finally your task is to write a formal letter answering the job offer and explaining why your talents fit so well in that marvellous company of them.
The job offers are real, I have found them surfing the net, so I expect real letters in return, that is, no jokes or baudy language. Be serious and try to look professional.
 Oh, I forgot, you must handle the essay before 14:20 of Tuesday 8-05-2012 to my very hands or to my box in reception.


Job offer description 1:

City: Vienna
Country: AUSTRIA

Responsabilities:

Prepare graphs, charts and other visual aids for use by the supervisor(s) or experts in seminars, meetings, workshops and presentations. May prepare and format documents for Internet publication.

Competencies:

Ability to prioritize work assignments, organize own schedule, perform routine work independently, meet deadlines, adapt to constantly changing demands and multitask. Ability to manage a heavy workload under time pressure.

Qualifications:

Education:

Completed secondary education.

Experience:

Minimum of four years of general office support experience, some of which in an international environment.

Languages

Good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of another official IAEA language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) an advantage.

Country: AUSTRIA

Responsabilities:

Assist with the collection, collation and analysis of information relevant to safeguards to contribute to the drawing of safeguards conclusions, and provide this information to the Department.

Competencies:

Good understanding of computer work station systems for communicating with the mainframe and operating in a Local Area Network.

Qualifications:

Education:

Completed secondary education.

Experience:

Minimum of five years of working experience supporting analysis processes, preferably in an international environment.

Languages

Excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) an advantage.
